An initial estimate is given based on visible damage. Additional damage may be assessed after the car has been taken apart. Here at Authentic Auto Body, we give FREE estimates.
The initial estimate is turned over to your insurance company. A price of the repair agreement is reached, unless the vehicle is deemed ‘unrepairable’ or ‘totaled’. Once a price is settled upon, we can begin disassembly. The contract is between Authentic Auto Body and the customer, not the insurance company.
The vehicle is then taken apart and any additional damage or structural damage is assessed. If significant damage is found, we will contact your insurance company for supplemental repairs.
We order the required parts to restore your vehicle back to pre-loss condition. Once all parts arrive, the repair/rebuild process will commence.
Structural repairs must be completed first. Once the frame of your car meets original manufacturing specifications we can proceed with the next phase of repair.
Time to repair the body. Our auto body specialists match and align metal panels and the car begins to take shape.
Auto panels are prepared for paint with primer and sealer. Computer-matched paint is applied and the final coats ensure long lasting rich color.
Vehicle finishing pieces are applied and a full vehicular operations test is performed. This test includes road testing to ensure safe vehicle operations. The vehicle can now begin the final step before delivery.
A clean up is performed to remove any dust or dirt that may have collected while your vehicle was being repaired.
PRE & POST REPAIR SCAN
Your vehicle is transported to the dealership to perform a post repair scan and recalibration to ensure that all codes and computer modules have been identified, recalibrated and cleared. Post-repair scanning and diagnosis of the vehicle is required to make sure the vehicle’s safety and autonomous systems are functioning correctly, which if activated during a collision may require initialization, calibration or replacement.
